Theses tech companies like google, amazon and Tesla look more and more like the dot com bubble in 1999-2000. Money is poring into these companies at enormous rates but very little to show in revenue at the end of the day. Telsa makes a fraction of the cars in the US and some how we are suppose to believe they should have a larger market cap than General Motors.

The last three days have been brutal for Tesla I think they are down 13% in that time frame which is good because it injects fear into the market and trader need to realize the fundamentals for Tesla and these other tech companies just isn't all that great and sticking money into them is risky.

Indicators are one thing, but Tesla as a company, at least as far as I can tell, is pretty sound.  The are dominating the space, and venting into new spaces that are poised to have rapid growth over the next 10 year.  Solar power, with their new solar roofs comes to mind.  Not to worried about Space-X and I think that is a pet project by Musk, might do good, might not.  But overall, Tesla as a company looks good to me.

Are these numbers year to date comparisons?  If so, I would expect some ups and downs.  

Looking at Morningstar's reports, they don't look bad.

Revenue growing every year, Gross Margin over 20%(since 2010), not too bad.

As for being bigger the Ford or Honda, Tesla actually makes an electric car people want to dry.  No one wants a Ford or Honda, they are not "sexy" but a Tesla is.  Plus they do out preform their competitors, and they are only getting better.
