<html> <p>There is something changing in the world and it seems this recent run with crypto could be just a symptom of a greater evolution.</p> <p>I've been on Steemit for almost two years and have bought crypto for about the same amount of time. Since then I've seen prices sky-rocket and only to fall over the past year and a half. </p> <p>The first big run on Bitcoin around 2013 was when some people realized the possibilities. The run in 2016 was caused by mass public exposure and now this run seems to be born out of necessity.</p> <p>Technology is moving incredibly fast and the blockchain technology can and will solve a lot of problems that are coming down the pipeline. </p> <p><img src="https://media3.giphy.com/media/2mZUX9XgtTWA8/giphy.gif?cid=790b76115cdcf167716a33592e9f79eb&rid=giphy.gif" width="498" height="373"/></p> <p>The blockchain technology has the ability to change banking, information transfers and even gaming. </p> <p>Back in my college days, I played a game called "Drug Wars" on my TI-85. It was one of the first evolutions of mobile gaming. This was before games were on phones. Now, I play Drug Wars on the Steem Blockchain and the game is one of the first ones on the blockchain. It is the genesis of the evolution, but we are seeing practical applications.</p> <p>Steemit was one of the very first practical applications on the blockchain and exemplifies what is possible.</p> <p>Something is changing, and it seems like this run on crypto is a more of a sign of things to come, because it seems like it is based more in practicality. I hope the prices of the individual projects are reflected in run. If the prices of good and practical projects go up while crap coins stay at current levels, I'd be very happy with that. It is what the crypto market needs.</p> <p>Regardless, things are changing and for those of us that have survived the past year and a half without selling all of your holdings, then it looks like things are changing for the better... but this is crypto, so you never really know.</p> <p>Thanks for reading.</p> <p><strong>Do you think things are changing?
