<h3>The church was built in honor of St. Theodosius in 1894, it was built of wood. In 1903, they began to build a stone church, but because of a lack of money and the outbreak of the First World War, the construction of the temple was not completed.</h3>
<h3>In 1918, they wanted to place the building of the church under the school, but for some reason they did not do it and gave it to the warehouse. In honor of the Intercession of the Theotokos, the church was consecrated and its dioceses were transferred, it happened in 1990.</h3>
<h3>In 1991, the building of the church was put on state protection as a monument of history and culture of regional importance.</h3>
<h3>In 1993, the Intercession Cathedral was badly damaged because of a fire, most of the church icons and other things were burnt, only the icon of St. John of Tula and the mantle of St. Theodosius could save in this fire.</h3>
<h3>Since 2000, the church has a Sunday school for children. There is a library of Orthodox literature, the Orthodox Youth Movement and the Sobriety Society.</h3>
<h3>The temple helps the city children's home and the society of the disabled in Proletarsky district.</h3>

<h3>В городе Тула очень много достопримечательностей, это один из красивых городов России, есть что посмотреть и есть чем полюбоваться.<br>
Покровский (Феодосиевский) храм, город Тула Россия<br>
Церковь построена в честь Святителя Феодосия в 1894 году, она была построена из дерева.В 1903 году начали строить каменный храм, но из-за недостатка денег и начавшейся Первой Мировой Войны, строительство храм не завершили.<br>
В 1918 году здание храма хотели разместить под школу, но по каким то причинам этого не сделали и отдали его под склад.В честь Покрова Богородицы храм был освящён и его передали епархии, это произошло в 1990 году.<br>
В 1991 году здание храма поставили на государственную охрану в качестве памятника истории и культуры регионального значения.<br>
В 1993 году Покровский храм сильно пострадал из-за пожара, большая часть церковных икон и других вещей сгорело, в этом пожаре смогли спасти только икону Иоанна Тульского и мантию святителя Феодосия.<br>
С 2000 года при храме действует воскресная школа для детей. Работает библиотека православной литературы, Православное Молодёжное Движение и Общество трезвости.<br>
Храм помогает городскому детскому дому и обществу инвалидов Пролетарского района.<br>
