Life is people. Different people at one level or another contributed to your life to make you who you are today. Don't forget them. Your mother carried you for nine months. She believes in you enough to spend sleepless nights taking care of you. 


Your father/guardian believed in you and provided for your needs and sent you to school. 

Your teachers believe in you, they taught you things you didn't know. 

Your wifes/husband believed in you enough to marry you. 

Your employer believed in you to give you a job. 

Your customers believe in you. They patronised your products. 
Someone's words encouraged you, 
Someone's smile lifted you up.

You can never amount to anything in life if nobody believed in you enough to give you a chance. 


An aborted child is a sure sign that someone didn't believe in that child's destiny. Divorce is loss of belief in someone. 

Never walk out in people who believe in you to associate with you, to stand by you and help you. Don't eliminate those who promoted you and lifted you up. 
Even the mechanic, the electrician and the plumber who helped you out of your ignorance deserve a place in your life. 

Learn to appreciate people who contributed meaningfully to your life no matter how small. There are no substitutes for good people. Think of those spiritual fathers, your Doctor, your boss, your friends, your co-workers, neighbours, relatives and all those wonderful people who make your life better. 

Make a list of as many as you can remember now, and find a way of letting them know how much you love and appreciate them. A phone call, a love note, a gift, a visit, a hug, a kiss, a smile, or a word of encouragement to these ones can go a long way.

Make them feel good, happy and appreciated. You can make anybody's day by simply saying thanks. 

Remember, somebody somewhere at one time or another invested his time, energy, resources and ability in you. 

Don't you ever forget them. There's no reward as priceless as remembering those who helped you.
