# One analyst thinks bitcoin is going to make new all time highs, and it's not even a question.

Brian Kelly of CNBC was on Fast Money last night talking bitcoin and he said without question bitcoin is going to make a new all time high.

What's more, he says it will happen within the next 2 years.

The exact quote:

> "Without question this next cycle (bitcoin makes a new high). You’re talking probably a two-year cycle.”

> "The cycle for bitcoin is usually about a year before to a year after. So over this two-year period, you will likely get this big upswing — particularly if the institutions come in — and I think we surpass all-time highs.”

# Why does he think that?

He is basing it off of previous price cycles and halving events.

According to Kelly, we are entering this 2 year window where bitcoin prices tend to act very bullish around halving events.

Specifically, price starts to act well about one year before the halving, to about one year after the halving.

The next halving is projected to be in May of 2020.

# That means we are just about to enter that 2 year window starting now.

In a few weeks we will be right at the beginning of that 2 year cycle.

Kelly, as well as myself, think bitcoin will make a new all time high "without question" within the next two years.
