I started to think about this a few months Ago, and even wrote a post stating that steem needs to decide what It is( social media or content platform).

In my opinion, the way steem works, It doesnt function as a content platform, because a quick comparison with something like YouTube on How the author recieve for his work wont incentivize Any professional creator to use steemit.

The payout model incentivize Quick content.

Is the creating of SMT actually be good or steem?

I mean, the dapps work. Appics works, steepshot Works, dtube Works, dlike Works.... Why not use steem? What is the need for them to have their own coin?
