Yes it is a real structure but it is not in space nor is it in low earth orbit nor are there any people on it. Everything filmed from the ISS is faked and there's plenty of videos out there to show the wire harness tricks that they used to give the perception that they are in space.

The curve is created by the lens. those with a trained eye can watch the red bull skydive from space videos of Felix baumgardner and see that the fisheye lens cameras on the outside the capsule produce a giant curve but the cameras from inside the capsule produce no curve whatsoever. also if anyone actually wants to challenge what they've been taught and do a little bit of independent research they can find plenty of videos on the internet where people send cameras with out fisheye lenses up to a hundred and twenty thousand feet and guess what folks there ain't no curve!

BTW 100 million is NASA's budget for 2 days! 

If Hollywood can give you a 90-minute movie that 81 minutes of it takes place in faked "space"and they can do it for a hundred million dollars don't you think NASA can do better than that with the 19 Billion dollars a year they get?
