[일상] 이제 자동차용 OS 경쟁
얼마 전 애플사에서 전기자동차 시장에 진출할 것이라는 기사가 나왔었는데요. 애플사가 자동차를 직접 생산하지 않더라도 자동차에 들어가는 자율주행 SW는 반드시 출시할 것 같습니다. 지금도 그렇지만 자율주행이 완성되면 자동차는 또 다른 엔터테인먼트 장치가 될 수 있으니까요.


오늘 구글과 포드 자동차 제휴에 관한 기사가 나왔는데요. 2023년 인포테인먼트시스템에 안드로이드 운영체제(OS)를 탑재해 구글 앱과 서비스를 설치한 차량을 출시한다고 합니다.

구글은 아주 아주 오래 전 부터 자율 주행에 많은 투자를 하고 있습니다. 최근에 구글의 자율주행 계열사 웨이모가 미국 캘리포니아주로부터 자율주행차에 승객을 태워도 된다는 허가를 받았다고 합니다.

자율주행차이긴 하지만 안전을 위해 운전석에는 반드시 운전사가 탑승해야 한다는군요. 이렇게 실제 서비스를 하다보면 언제가 운전자 없는 자율 자동차가 우리 옆에 나타날 것 같습니다.

LG전자도 인포테인먼트시스템에 투자를 많이 하고 있는데요. 자체 OS를 가져가기는 어려울 것 같고, 구글 안드로이드 운영체제 기반으로 갈 수 있을 것 같군요. 

스마트 폰에서도 애플과 안드로이드 양자 싸움인데, 이제 자율 주행 자동차로 전쟁터가 옮겨가고 있는 것 같습니다.

자동차용 os는 테슬라가 젤 처음이라고 봐야죠. 자동차의 ecu 같은 각각의 os를 통합해서 운용하는게 테슬라가 처음이라고 하더군요.인포테인먼트가 문제가 아니라 자동차전체를 제어하는 os를 누가 선점하느냐의문제라고 보여집니다. 전기차에서 스마트카로 넘어가는 중이라고 보여집니다.
