Through many years of traveling with a digital camera, the collection of images has gradually become larger. Going through folders from previous travels I have found a number of photos where I as a photographer take pictures of other photographers without them knowing about it. A few are of travel companions, but most photos are people who are just being on the same location as me, taking the same travel photos as I am doing....

El Chalten, Argentina</center>

This is from a short hike just outside the small town of El Chalten in Patagonia. We are going to a viewpoint where its possible to get great view of the Mt.Fitz Roy mountains and the small town of El Chalten. In this case the photographer is my son.

When in New York, it was an absolutely must to walk the Brooklyn Bridge. The photographer is my travel companion.

Deadvlei, Namibia</center>
<p></p>
Namibia has desert landscape and one of the oldest and driest deserts on earth. It also has some of world highest sand dunes. Deadvlei will give you a most surreal experiencse and great photographic opportunities. It's actually a circular depression, surrounded by massive sand dunes. Once there was a river here. Now it has dried up, making the dry, cracked mud floor look white. It has petrified camel thorn trees, which are more than 500 years old fossils standing as silhouettes against the sky.

Temple of Literature in Hanoi, Vietnam</center>
<p></p>
A young woman taking photos with her phone in this impressive, old temple, which is an example of well-preserved Vietnamese architecture. When it was built, it was dedicateted to Confucius in 1070. Later it became a university used to educate the mandarins.

 Mt. Fitz Roy,  Argentina</center>
<p></p>
This is was taken at Laguna de los Tres and Mt.Fitz Roy,  located in Parque Nacional Los Glaciers.  Fitz Roy is one of the most popular trekking destination in Patagonia. The small town of El Chaltèn is the starting point for many hikes in the area. That' why it's considered the trekking capital of Argentina.

Ile aux Cocos, Indian Oceon</center>
<p></p>
This is a small island situated only a few kilometers west of the main island Roderique in the Indian Ocena. The island is not inhabited  by people. It's a bird sanctury where you can see so many different species. The island has lovely beaches and you can get close to the birds.

Torres del Paine, Chile</center>
<p></p>
This was taken in the Torres del Paine National park in Chilean Patagonia. We are driving through the park.  Beautiful scenery made us stop many times along the way.  From here there is a breathtaking view of Cuernos del Paine.

Kathmandu, Nepal</center>
<p></p>
The chaotic capital of Nepal.  We are sitting in a taxi on the way to the hotel after a day of temple visits. This little boy is trying to sell us a newspaper at a time when traffic is stagnant. We did wonder if he really thought we could read Nepali! My travel companion is ocupied taking photos of the city.

Rapa Nui/ Easter Island, Chile</center>
<p></p>
This tiny, remote island, located about 3700 km. from Chile, is one of the most isolated places in the world. World famous because of its statues carved in stones. Most of the island feels as it's an open air museum with all these large statues spread all across the island. My son is the photographer among the statues.

Angkor Wat, Cambodia </center>
<p></p>
At this tempelcomplex there is a photographer who is probably taking photos of us tourists, just as we are taken photos of them. The monks were resting by the moat that is surrounding Angkor Wat, one of the largest religious monoments built in the 12th century. The city of Angkor was the place from where the Khmer kings ruled their enormous empire (9th - 13th century). Parts of what is Thailand today, was once part of this empire. There lots of temples here.

Salinas Grandes, Argentina</center>
<p></p>
This is definitive one of Argentinas most spectacular sights - a salt flat located in a remote corner of northern Argentina, 3350 m above sea level. It is also the third largest salt flat in the world and the largest in Argentina. When the surface is wet after rain, it does present spectacular scenery. It becomes a giant mirror creating stunning reflections of on the surface. My son is the photographer. He is using both phone and camara, to make sure he get enough shots from this place.

Base torres, Chile's Parque Nacional Torres del Paine.</center>

This photographer is taking photos of the three granite towers: South Tower, Central Tower, North Tower. A hike of approx. 20 kilometers took ut to the viewpoint Mirador las Torres, which probably is the most spectacular hike in Chilean Patagonia.

Granada, Spain</center>

This photographer is taking photos inside the beautiful palace Alhambra, which was built by the Moorish rulers. It was originally built as a fortress on the remains of Roman fortifications, but renovated and rebuilt in the mid-13th century by the Arabs. Today a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Spain's biggest tourist attractions.

Drepung monestery in lhasa, Tibet</center>
<p></p>
This photo was taken in this large monastery founded in 1416 and located only 8 kilometers outside Lhasa. It was once the world's largest monastery. Only one year after it was completed, 2,000 monks lived here. When the Chinese took over Tibet in 1951, 10,000 monks lived here. When visiting Tibet, this is one of the most important monasteries that should be visited. The photographer is my travel companion.

This photographer was one of my travel companions on a roadtrip in Namibia. This was taken some place between Walvis Bay and Sesriem. The landscape changed to become more desert.

El Tatio, Chile</center>
<p></p>
This place is the El Tatio Geysir field in the Atacama desert. This geyser field is the highest in the world, situated at 4.300 m. above sea level and the third largest when it comes to size. An amazing experience to be there at sunrise walking among boiling water holes and clouds of steam. You will hear bubbling sound. Almost like a kettle of boiling water.

Bagan, Myanmar</center>
<p></p>
My travel companion is taking photos of this herd of goats. We got caught in the midle and had to stop to let them go first. We were spending a day touring the temples of Bagan.  This is one of the greatest religious and historical sites in the world and on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. This place still has around 2000 temples, pagodas and stupas. The city of Bagan is an important archeological site in South-East Asia, built during a period from 10th - 14th century and once the first kingdom of Myanmar. At that time the kings had more than 6000 temples built.

Kirkwall, Orkney</center>
<p></p>
Kirkwall is the main town on the Orkney islands, which is part of Scotland. The islands has a rich history that goes at least 5000 years back. This is why the main attractions on the islands are the well preserved archeological sites. This place is Earl's Castle, built in the 12th. century.

Mt.Everest, Tibet</center>
<p></p>
All these photographers had to get up early in order to get the sunrise photos of Mt.Everest (8.850m.) They are standing on the roof terrace on the Rongbuk Guesthose only some 8 kilometers from Everest Base Camps on a freezing cold morning.
