If you are really into different food I think it would be cool to see s series of posts something like  "Food that tastes better than it looks" :) or something like that. And you are really on point with there already being a ,lot of cruelty around us and it's really awesome you want to spread something nice!
I've also just recently joined Steemit myself and I find the community to be really chill for the most part, however I guess you won't really be into the stuff I post about :) it's about gaming.
