If so, then yes, I think TV is healthy for them. Children between those ages watch one thing and one thing only. Cartoons. Now cartoons may seem like silly things that are made to entertain them or keep them in one place for a long time but the truth is far bigger than that. Cartoons teach kids virtues. Cartoons teach them to be nice to each other, to apologize when they make mistakes. Cartoons even teach them some basics of science and so much more and they do it in a very indirect way.

When I was a kid I used to watch cartoons everyday and as an adult I've come to realize that there were so many things I learned from cartoons and didn't even realize back then. There's that episode of power puff girls were the professor was sleep-stealing toys for them. Then he got caught and they cried wishing they had done the right thing.

Moral; stealing is bad.

That's just one of the many things that cartoons and TV as a whole taught me in my earlier years. So I'm a strong advocate of TV for kids. I think it's a great way for them to learn certain virtues and grow mentally even when nobody else is there. But don't let the kids sit too close to the TV or their eyes will have issues. I hope your kids learn all they can

" |
