Glad to see you around though I was expecting to see more literature

As for the fork, I clicked on the red banner and saw many are arguing on our behalf that they are making it impossible for small posters to stay here, but I get the impression the whales do not care.

What they forget, I think, is that if all the other fish are gone, then they will be whales of zero worth. 

I've always taken all the praise and idealistic praise of Steemit with a grain of salt, not because Steemit does not have potential, but because, in my experience, human weaknesses will always trump  their ideals. It seems I am once again right, though I wish I was not.

If you click on the red band, take note of something that shows/proves/indicates what I am saying is correct: scroll down through the comments and look at the voting. Ned got votes....all the others? Yet, a number of comments state they grew from bing upvoted on comments.

My experience is very few upvote comments...it is so rare, that when someone does upvote my comments with more than a cent, I get embarrassed and do not continue the discussion, as I do not want them to feel I am "taking advantage" of their good nature and replying so as to get another upvote.

Which brings me to my parting shot: my friend, thank you for upvoting me ; I do notice it but have reduced my time spent here so as to fight for our right to exist (I see latest prognosis is that in the Nederlands, the Dutch will be a minority within one generation. I pity your daughter for the world she will have to live in). Another bit of news that is frightening: 92% of Moroccans have stated they intend moving to Europe. What are we supposed to do? Take over their emptied countries?
