The truly sad part about all this is most people believe only two political parties exist. So many people did not know there were __*17*__ candidates in the 2016 presidential race. Sure there were Johnson and Stein, but 13 OTHERS were in the race. 
I heard on the media people were voting for Trump because they did not like Hillary and vice versa. THAT IS INSANE!
I say to the masses, "*You had more choices!* Get off Facebook and do something worthwhile with your time on the internet!  __*FIFTEEN*__ other choices were available! Find a candidate you actually LIKE and vote for THEM!"
I voted, but my vote was neither for Trump nor Clinton.

It all depends on what state you are in. In Oregon, only 4 Presidential slates met the requirements to get on our ballot. What state are you in? That's a lot of choice, for sure!

In my state, and I believe in almost all of them, only four candidates were on the ballot, but 13 more were write-ins. All states have a "write-in" choice on the ballot. 

To vote for a write-in candidate, check (or click) the "write-in" choice and write (enter) the name of the candidate for whom the vote is cast. Anyone can be written into this space, whether or not the person has a formal campaign for presidency.

Every state has their own election rules: [here](http://presidentials.mytimetovote.com/Rules-for-voting-for-a-write-in-candidate.html). Nine states don't allow any write-ins at all, like Arkansas and Oklahoma. In Oregon, we can write anyone in, but unless the total of all write-ins has the most votes, they never separate out anyone. So maybe someone voted for me, lol.
