It's hard to know what is real nowadays.

People tend these days--because of all the propaganda and social engineering--to make proclamations about this truth or that controlled opposition as if they had some kind of crystal ball. In my opinion they take that stance in order to let everyone know they're not falling for anybody's con. We all get conned, and then say we'll never fall for that again... until the next time we do.

Because of being conned in the past, I remain skeptical of every person with a public platform. I watch and listen with that in mind. I watch and wait. I pay attention to the message and not necessarily to the messenger. I change my mind frequently with new information. Without an open mind humans tend to fall into traps.

The truth is, nobody knows what's going to happen. You can speculate until the cows come home for all the good it'll do you. From my perspective, the world--more specifically, society--is a gambling casino, an amusement park, and a house of magic rolled into one. The high rollers are gambling with our very lives, attempting to avoid the economic implosion that's eventually going to happen--only we don't know when. The amusement park is the enticement to pursue the next feel-good moment--shopping, food, drugs, sex, sports, thrill-seeking--in order to distract you from the disasters around the corner. And the house of magic--all the tricks used to get you to believe certain things so that the people in charge can pursue their agenda unimpeded.

I don't gamble, roller coasters make me nauseous, and a trick is a trompe l'oeil--which can be entertaining as long as you know it's a trick. The only thing that's real is right outside your window: the sky, the trees, the birds, the flowers. That's what I believe in. And humans who earn my trust.
