Oohh.. so sorry to hear about your situation @skramatters... is that the right things to do? Gives $500 to get a visa for a worker? I didn't know that such things happens in a great country like MalaysiađŻ I hope you can cope out of that situation soon. Yea thanks for the understanding. Getting a work visa is a totally different even more difficult process for an American thatâs not a doctor or engineer etc. This is what is usually called a spousal visa but they just call it long term visa here and I was shocked that doesnât allow me to legally work.. whatâs the point ? How does a marriage work with only one person allowed to work ? I really donât want to have to remove my wife from her own country but the government isnât giving me any choices really... I live in a very gangster part of Malaysia port Klang and for where Iâm from itâs Disneyland compared to the guns drugs and violence that I grew up with. I only wish people could be respectful when at fault instead of knowing this mat salleh has no rights here and I can bang his car and not care. Itâs not the first time itâs happened my car is smashed up and Iâve realized the police, insurance, and repair people are all in on the scam so itâs just not a life Iâm used to. âThis is Malaysiaâ is all I ever hear, which means accept it, this place is rotten to the core. On a good day I love the people and the culture on bad days I have nothing good to say..

Aahh port klang... I heard about that place too though I've never been there too except to KL yeaaaaaars ago. I think you should work at home.. running online shop perhaps. I read about the non-muslim and non-malay product bans there too

Yes online shop is definitely a great idea ! Sigh the bans I'm aware that's happening, but I try to not get too involved in any of the issues here. They do seem to find me though haha.. DRAMA! Steem is a blessing, I wouldn't dare say anything on facebook or instagram about the realities as I've experienced them here.. They have their internal security act and a suppression of political dissent laws for their own citizenry so I dare not say anything negative.. It's funny to see this fight about the haze because Malaysia is so fast to blame Indonesia but its not like they have any pollution regulations in place here. I understand it's a developing nation but at what point does that simply become an excuse. No smog check on even commercial vehicles, open burning of trash, very simple things to enforce. I know it's not possible for everyone to afford a car and I know the public transportation isn't good enough which leads to the poor safety standards that are just part of life here and all of ASEA.. It's complicated and I just wish people could be more responsible and treat others with respect. You smash someone's car drunk and get out yelling where I'm from gets you an extra hole in your head..
