 **this is not a happy post** I don't want to go outside its a fucking disgusting cesspool of waste out there. I'm in one of those familiar states of mine where I don't see the people as being any better than the dangerously very hazardous smog ridden air I've become quite despondent lately. I try to convince myself that I'm being a spoiled, judgemental prick and that it's not so bad, but I am losing that battle today. I could make a coffee and try to care about being motivated to improve my situation but I'd rather sulk. I could go into the details of the innumerable difficulties I deal with being a foreigner in a country that beyond the surface of a few friendly faces basically shits on me at every turn. I chose this and I'm not saying I regret it I'm just saying people generally aren't worth bothering with any where in the world. And of course I don't dare get into politics because where I'm a citizen of runs a pretty disgusting pseudo democracy in its own right and to be honest I think I despise and loathe that place most of all.. Being trapped in your house sitting in front of an air conditioner with the ionizer on is no way to live. I paid a, scam of a, security deposit of 500 USD yesterday for a long term visa that doesn't even give me permission to legally work here. To say I feel cornered is an understatement. The past days events have really brought things to a head for me. Just last night a drunk guy hit my parked car and was attempting to flee the scene. I stormed out and stood in front of his car and saw he was visibly intoxicated. He was totally unapologetic and said it was my fault for parking illegally which is a, laughable concept in this country where double, and even triple parking are the norm. There are seriously no traffic laws and you see babies on scooters with no helmets daily, but never mind all that.. Let's just say, it's not exactly a lawful place and I was parked where 100s of cars park daily. This guy proudly got out and said in broken English you can't park there I'm going home. To which I responded I'm about to send you to the hospital. A very western threat in a land of non confrontational people, especially when in public. At this point other people came to support him and tell me yes you can't park here. I was infuriated and basically decided right then and there I can't stand living in this place anymore. You see I can't stand government but people are too stupid and indecent to live together without a fearful hand from the man and it sickens me thinking I seek more regulation and enforcement. I'm just going to stop before I go on and make claims that in many ways we are all essentially prisoners. I'd love to go get some fresh air and chill out but I can't because it's physically and emotionally poisonous to pretend to be a human being right now and I came really close to beating the shit out of someone last night and I can't promise I won't feel that way again.. Funny follow up to my last post about helping refugees init? That also almost lead to a domestic situation.. I think the only thing to do is stay inside until I formulate an escape plan which will be very complicated and life altering.. Well you have successfully made me almost smile, Iād say itās a smirk š and also gave some great advice. That quote is deadly accurate and Iāve got to get it together and remember to rise above the bullshit... Itās good to know Iām not alone in these struggles to be free, from outside influences and self imposed ones.. I canāt really say I have made more than a few friends here over almost 3 years and I definitely donāt want to tell them how awful I find their country, for one because there really are beautiful aspects to life here and two theyāre painfully aware of the trappings and I can imagine donāt want to hear a westerner bitch and moan.. Whatās really getting to me though is the asinine policy that someone married to a citizen isnāt eligible to work. Not as if I totally value my existence on capitalist productivity but my indoctrination is difficult to overcome.. Able bodied and of relatively sound mind, but unable to provide is a difficult constraint on a bi-racial marriage. In fact it seems quite purposeful to deter the practice and getting to this stage hasnāt been easy..

Yea thanks for the understanding. Getting a work visa is a totally different even more difficult process for an American thatās not a doctor or engineer etc. This is what is usually called a spousal visa but they just call it long term visa here and I was shocked that doesnāt allow me to legally work.. whatās the point ? How does a marriage work with only one person allowed to work ? I really donāt want to have to remove my wife from her own country but the government isnāt giving me any choices really... I live in a very gangster part of Malaysia port Klang and for where Iām from itās Disneyland compared to the guns drugs and violence that I grew up with. I only wish people could be respectful when at fault instead of knowing this mat salleh has no rights here and I can bang his car and not care. Itās not the first time itās happened my car is smashed up and Iāve realized the police, insurance, and repair people are all in on the scam so itās just not a life Iām used to. āThis is Malaysiaā is all I ever hear, which means accept it, this place is rotten to the core. Sounds just like Thailand. Come on, you've been in Asia long enough to know you will always be wrong here. My genuine thoughts will be left for private conversation but we just have to accept we are perhaps more different in outlook and attitude than we care to admit. In a similar situation , my wife would have killed him before ranting at the police until he was committed to death by hanging! Take a break mate, hit the tourist areas for a couple of days . At least they smile and are nice as they're taking your cash! Here we have TiT This is Thailand but I do fight stuff. Marriage Visa here does actually allow you to apply for a work permit lol..but right now, we are really jumping through hoops to stay and need to know which the friendly embassies are that aren't too strict on the rules and especially the financial requirements.
