This isn't new. It was previously called a "lynch mob". Digital lynch mobs form now and if anything social media helps facilitate the formation. AI of course is now used to present "fake facts" and to promote "constructed world views" via "fake news" and even if the news is real the news could be a hoax, a scheme, etc. The rules of the game are constantly changing in ways none of us fully understand. Be careful.
