Omgoodness @ lexiconical, after a disastrous-upload experience today, I really needed a good laugh. 

I know you may not have been trying to be comedic about this; but, seriously, I'm having to keep myself from literally bursting out with laughter at your post...

I'm thankful I'm taught not to judge; but, sometimes things are *soooooooo*, I have to be reminded...smh...lol...

Scam, sham, tomato, tamata...

Let's settle on Jerry's word: *dumb*.

All I can hope is that some unsuspecting wealthy septuagenarian with little knowledge of how things  work in the sometimes shady world of Steemit, doesn't fall for the dumb; and, puts the $ on the table. 

Then, I could see Steemit developers stepping in to file a misinformation-suit if they got sued.

Can you imagine a fellow-Steemian being a caretaker of a parent's account; and, seeing this withdrawal from the elder's account? Things could get dicey.

It's all conscience. Karma is reciprocal.

But, it's worth remembering that it's only fraud if you can prove intent to deceive. I don't think overcharging, even if you know of a cheaper price, would constitute fraud.

My rule is to always assume the best, unless I *know* otherwise, or have a considerable amount of reason to believe otherwise.  It would be unwise for anyone to make public accusations of someone if they were not %100 certain(my opinion).
