Thanks for a great comment. I'll jump to the story of the day: *"When you get a break, please help me to understand in layman’s terms the reason I would pay money to join Steemit. A post by a very influential Steemian ;+) got a very mixed bag of attention in the comments section."* This was a bad idea for a service. But, presumably, Jerry didn't know about the other sign up options and thought he could make one. He tried to do it with Vessel, which costs 30 Steem to make a new account. So, that's like $34 bucks, add a bit to cover fraud on Paypal (there's a lot) and you have yourself a poorly-conceptualized $50 service. See all my comments on the related posts for more.

Omgoodness @ lexiconical, after a disastrous-upload experience today, I really needed a good laugh. I know you may not have been trying to be comedic about this; but, seriously, I'm having to keep myself from literally bursting out with laughter at your post... _**…presumably, Jerry didn’t know…**_ (lol)… *Really*? I think he does things sometimes to get attention. I’m not sure I get this idea. It certainly doesn’t help his credibility a whole lot; but, something tells me he’s able to weather any negativity. _**…poorly-conceptualized…** Jerry would agree you are very kind for choosing such non-judgmental terminology. @lexiconical You are *sooooooooo* right about the law... I'm thankful I'm taught not to judge; but, sometimes things are *soooooooo*, I have to be reminded...smh...lol... Scam, sham, tomato, tamata... Let's settle on Jerry's word: *dumb*. All I can hope is that some unsuspecting wealthy septuagenarian with little knowledge of how things work in the sometimes shady world of Steemit, doesn't fall for the dumb; and, puts the $ on the table. Then, I could see Steemit developers stepping in to file a misinformation-suit if they got sued. Can you imagine a fellow-Steemian being a caretaker of a parent's account; and, seeing this withdrawal from the elder's account? Things could get dicey. It's all conscience. Karma is reciprocal. My rule is to always assume the best, unless I *know* otherwise, or have a considerable amount of reason to believe otherwise. It would be unwise for anyone to make public accusations of someone if they were not %100 certain(my opinion).
