Lets make our own advert - Worksheet for learners

<h3>If you watch TV or listen to the radio or read a magazine, you will see and hear certain advertisements.  The function of advertisements is to inform people about certain product and convince them to buy certain things.</h3>
<h3>Have you ever sat at home, then you see and advert of a chocolate or burger and suddenly you are in the mood for one?  That is because of a successful advert.</h3>
<p><strong>Have a look at the following adverts on different food.  For each of the following adverts, you must answer these questions</strong></p>
<ol><li><em>What product is advertised?</em></li><li><em>Would you buy this product and give at least 3 reasons why or why not.</em></li><li><em>Who do you think will choose these products (who is the target audience)?</em></li><li><em>Which advert is your favorite and why?</em></li></ol>

<h3>Create your own advert</h3>
<p>You are going to <strong>decide on a product</strong> that you would like to market.  It can be a product that already exist or you can make up your own,</p>
<p>Once you have decided on a product, you are going to<strong> decide who is this product aimed at</strong> (age group or gender etc that will buy it)</p>
<p>You must also decide <strong>what message you want to sent</strong> and which words you will want to use to attract attention.</p>
<p>You can <strong>draw the advert or use your computer</strong> - it can be an advert that will be in a magazine or one that can go on TV or <strong>you can even record one</strong> for the radio. (add a song if you want to).</p>
<h3>Use your imagination and make it interesting and nice to look at or listen to.</h3>
<p>After you are done with your advertisement, please answer these questions</p>
<ol><li><em>Why did you choose this specific product?</em></li><li><em>Why do you think the people will respond to your advert?</em></li><li><em>Who is your target market?</em></li><li><em>How much will your product cost?</em></li><li><em>What did you enjoy most about making your own advert?</em></li></ol>
<p>Look at the following advert and write a paragraph or two about the following</p>
<ol><li><em>Does this advert attract attention?  Why or why not?</em></li><li><em>What do you like or dislike about it?</em></li><li><em>How would you change it if you could.</em></li><li><em>Say in short what the advert is about</em></li></ol>
