You cannot power down below 50. or you face not being able to post.

I suggest you resteem a bunch of good articles after the 30 minutes mark and pray they pay over the next few day.

I kept telling everyone to participate. and comment and resteem and vote. This things matter.

You may want to look into purchasing steem and power up your account.

I have seen the disasters coming and it is not pretty.

You need to vote on other peoples posts...ones that you know will be good after the 30 minute mark

go read @pfunk and see who he follows and check out those posts...to vote on the recent ones and resteem.

When I first started and was sort of blocked on what to post, I went back through my Facebook posts and picked a couple that I felt were worthwhile, spruced them up and posted them here. I'm a perfectionist too, but sometimes you just have to get in there and post it. Use the #minnowsunite so those trying to help the minnows can see your posts and other minnows like me can see them as well :) 

I also follow the folks involved in the Minnow Support Project and comment thoughtfully on their posts. I write fiction so I spend time in the fiction section upvoting good content and commenting, commenting, commenting. I never, ever ask for an up vote or a follow back, and I always, always try to craft a comment so that it brings value to the discussion and demonstrates that I really read the post.

Three weeks in I have a little over 120 followers. I think most of those come from the Introduceyourself new feed. I don't go spam generic "Welcome, follow me I'll follow you!" but rather I read the post, comment in a way that makes it clear I read the post and give a personalized tip from one noob to another, like maybe they only used the IY tag but they posted beautiful photographs and mentioned they will be sharing photography here, so I advise that they can edit to add "photography" as a tag.

I've sent you 15 SBD because either I don't have the ability yet to transfer steem power directly or I don't have the knowhow. But you should be able to power up if you aren't totes broke yet ;)

Redeeming rewards is *not* the same as powering down. Redeeming actually *increases* your Steem Power; it "banks" the SP (as well as the Steem Dollars) that you've earned through posting and curation. (Why Steemit makes you click that button instead of just automatically adding it to your SP balance, I have no idea.)
