In a relationship, you have to learn to trust. It doesn’t mean you are a fool or you are being taken for granted but before people can trust you with their lives, you should know they might test you in one capacity or the other. When I mean test, I mean reasonable test not the kind of test that dehumanize you.

You need to learn to trust your partner, even when you are staring at the obvious truth. It doesn’t mean you are being taken for granted, it only shows you will earn that respect even when the truth comes out. I am not talking about not addressing an issue and I am not talking about certain decisions that you can’t bottle in. I am talking about the little things. You know there are some things you just need to observe so you can claim that moral standing? You need to differentiate between being inquisitive and being trusting.

Trust him to get those stuffs without feeling they ‘duped’ him. Trust her to handle things and you don’t have to necessarily be there. Don’t try to monitor every aspect; a little bit of trust would help. I have seen a guy follow his wife to the market, not out of love or romance but because he wants to be sure she bought the right things and also know if she will exhaust all the money or not. I have seen a wife always asking for the prices of things the husband bought, so she can know whether he bought them overpriced or not. I have seen women who feel unless they were the ones, who got certain things done, if the husband does it, they still feel he didn’t do enough justice to it. People learn from mistake and you don’t need to let them feel they can’t get anything right. It would shatter their confidence and would make them go in a shell.

Trust your partner to always put the interest of your home at heart where little things like these are concerned because if you doubt him or her at little stuff as this, don’t expect him or her to have the confidence to decide major issues.

Learn to trust him or her, at least a little bit more. You married him or her for a reason, remember? Why won’t you trust them on certain issues and yet you committed your biggest treasure; your heart, into his or her hands?
