Assalamualaikum dan hello sahabat Steemian semua dimanapun berada. Apa khabarnya saat ini, tentunya sehat-sehat saja bukan? Bertemu lagi dengan saya @ekafao di laman Steemit ini. 

Kali ini saya ingin sedikit membahas terkait dengan `5S`. Apa itu 5S? Yuk kita baca sampai habis. 

#### SEJARAH 5S
5S berasal dari negara Jepang yang saat itu 5S diaplikasikan dalam industri oleh orang jepang. Ringkas, Rapi, Resik, Rawat, Rajin merupakan kepanjangan 5R dan Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain merupakan kepanjangan dari 5C. Saya juga belum mengerti mengapa disebut 5C di Amerika Serikat padahal jika kita lihat kepanjangannya yaitu 5S?. Barangkali Steemian bisa bantu saya menjelaskan, silahkan berikan komentarnya di laman komentar.</p>

#### 5S
5S sendiri adalah kepanjangan dari Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu, Shitsuke.

5S merupakan sebuah metode atau cara atau sistem manajemen  penataan dan pemeliharaan wilayah atau tempat kerja yang dilakukan secara intensif dan berasal dari Jepang Dan dipakai oleh manajemen suatu perusahaan dalam upaya pemeliharaan efisiensi, ketertiban dan disiplin di lokasi atau tempat kerja sekaligus untuk meningkatan kinerja perusahaan secara menyeluruh.

#### SEIRI

Seiri adalah suatu  kegiatan `menyingkirkan barang-barang/benda yang tidak diperlukan lagi` sehingga segala barang/benda yang berada di lokasi/tempat kerja hanya barang-barang/benda yang benar-benar dibutuhkan/diperlukan dalam aktivitas/kegiatan kerja.

#### SEITON
Seiton merupakan suatu kegiatan `meletakkan sesuatu pada sesuatu tempatnya sesuai dengan posisi yang telah ditetapkan (Rapi)` sehingga barang/benda/sesuatu tersebut siap apabila akan digunakan.

#### SEISO
Seiso merupakan suatu `kegiatan membersihkan`, baik itu membersihkan peralatan, alat kerja, mesin-mesin dan daerah/area kerja sehingga segala peralatan, alat kerja, mesin-mesin dan daerah/area kerja tetap terjaga dalam kondisi yang baik.

#### SEIKETSU
Seiketsu merupakan suatu `kegiatan menjaga/merawat` kebersihan pribadi dan juga mematuhi/melaksanakan ketiga tahapan sebelumnya yaitu Seiri, Seiton, dan Seiso.

#### SHITSUKE
Shitsuke adalah Rajin, yaitu `pemeliharaan kedisiplinan` dari masing-masing pribadi tenaga pekerja dalam upaya menjalankan seluruh tahapan 5S.

#### PRINSIP DASAR 5S
Prinsip dasar 5S yaitu sebagai berikut:
Setiap barang harus punya:
Nama,
Alamat, dan
Tempat.

Penyimpanan barang yang berbeda:
Tidak boleh saling menumpuk, dan
Tidak boleh saling menutupi.

#### HUBUNGAN 5S DENGAN K3
Lingkungan kerja/area kerja yang tidak bersih, tidak rapi/berserakan dalam ilmu K3 disebut Unsafe Condition. Unsafe Condition inilah yang pada akhirnya mempunyai resiko terhadap terjadinya kecelakaan kerja. Dengan menerapkan 5S di tempat kerja, maka salah Unsafe Condition tersebut dapat diminimalisir.
