>BENTARAKATA is an intimate exhibition, performance and event space. Our studio is deaf-friendly and we celebrate the inclusion of marginalized communities in all our exhibitions, festivals, workshops and artists’ residencies that we host. As a collective, we are dedicated to supporting and initiating grassroots projects through the transformative power of literature and art for social change. Our vibrant and diverse community is made up of the many young people in our city who believe in the same values that we do.

Formed in KOTA KINABALU, SABAH. Bentara kata is famous for its workshops such as deaf-studio, art, writing skill, forum and many more. You can find them here :

They held few past events and it was amazing. Although I did not attend most of their event due to work schedule but I still support them. Recently I always receive few invitations from one of their member, Liyana which also my ex-coursemate at UiTM back at 2013. They are also good in poetry, music and deaf language which Sadam and Ana (Bentara Kata) tried to teach me but I am quite busy with my life-task what makes me lost focus on it. The opportunity to learn is there and I will get to them when the time has come. 

Bentara Kata is one of the best that I can say because they are focusing more on the society, some issues that people do not even recognize it. They provide knowledge as an addition to life, giving beautiful poetry, teaching the new generation about writing, art, and some awareness campaign. 

I really hope that Bentara Kata will maintain success until the end.
