Hello Great People of Steemit, today I want to talk about bravery. On a scale of 1 to 10, how brave are you? This topic was inspired by a picture sent to me from a friend. It is about a "bravery show" organized by a primary school in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu, India.

Though, this practice has been banned due to the outcry from relatives of the education minister who was present and children's right group.

The stunt was a show of strength and "bravery" after their karate classes of which the head teacher claimed the parents of the children gave their approval/consent for. Though, you will agree with me that this is pushing bravery to an absurd limit.  But the fact is the children are really brave to undertake this stunt because I am sure that there is nothing that would make me do this at their age. Not even the threat of capital punishment or being called a chicken would make me comply.

An incident that happened this morning still showed that bravery is not my thing. I fell off my bed today and was lucky there was no real damage. But my elbow still hurt where it hit the floor. What could have caused this, you may wonder? Well, I woke up late, yeah I stayed up all night reading on steemit, I know I am little addicted. Sue me. Lol .

That moment when you wake up and your brain is still in the fuzzy state, between sleep and wakefulness, I looked and was horrified to see a huge snake on my bed! Oh dear! The horror! Adrenaline kicked in and I jumped off the bed. Surprisingly, the snake did not move. 

Dang. I know what you guys are thinking. This Green is not brave. Oh yeah! Thankfully, I could reach the remote that controls my room lamp. I picked up the remote and hit the on button. The room was flooded with light and I could see everything clearly. Alas, it was my belt and a scarf that was *the snake*.

So back to my earlier question, on a scale of 1 to 10, how brave are you? Where 1 is the real definition of chicken and 10 is brave like this mantis below.
