Labor Day is mainly celebrated as a public holiday in commemoration of the achievements and hard work of workers. I spent my holiday being really busy.

Firstly, church will be undergoing renovations work and a few of us were there to prep things while conducting spring cleaning. It was hard work but we he a great time. I've noticed and have come to realise that people who work together stays together through thick and thin. The group of people that was working on the preparations of the church are people who stood by the church at every juncture and these are the ones who do not waver. 

Next, I did a lil grocery shopping as I was going to visit @iamjadeline and Jansen at the hospital. I decided since it's Jadeline's birthday, l wanted to do something special in the most simplest manner knowing how she would like it. Having to be at the hospital 24-7, she has to consume hospital food which obviously after awhile, can be unappealing and unappetising. So I thought, why not! Tumeric chicken, boiled broccoli and seaweed soup with butter fried rice. That should warm her up and give some heavy taste to her tongue. 

Once I was done with cooking, it was straight to the hospital! Dropping by home to get some cupcakes that was delivered as a belated wedding gift. Spent about 2 hours at the hospital and it was good to see Jansen with strength, whining, exclaiming, speaking (though not much), and being cheeky. He suddenly requested for soup and while he drank he then asked for vege!! Wow!! Took a lil broccoli out from the packed dinner and fed him. What a lovely sight after what he had to go through. 

My take on the day is that, a day like Labour Day may never be an ideal day of rest, or and day of doing nothing, or even a day where you just enjoy with family. There will be days and occasions where things are not ideal but what defines a good day, is most definitely not the ideal but how we make the most out the situation and with who we are going through together at that given time. As I go around on what supposed to be a public holiday celebrating workers, there are many who were working hard to serve those they serve and it might not be ideal for them but they're doing it anyway. I am always grateful for these unsung heroes and I celebrate them.

There will be hard days ahead, challenging ones or non ideal situations we have to face all the time but remember to look around, look at what's going on with other people and their lives. Do you think it's ideal too?
