It is so important for their competitiveness as well as socialising. Some children even like working in the school garden.</p> <p>When children do not socialise we must really find out why. We learn a lot about a child in class, but we do not have that special bond as when they are in a small group and then they can be watched and taught what to do.</p> <p>That is why we can normally find out if a child does have a problem or not.</p> <p>Then there are children who can do anything from sport to chess and even take part in debates but they are not that many.</p> <p>Most children do excel at normally one or two activities.</p> <p>But as I said in the beginning if they do not try they will not ever know. In the beginning we must not expect parents to buy the right clothes for what they are starting off with.</p> <p>I really think this must only come when the child is picked for a team and they start playing against other schools.</p> <p>So please do not make it expensive for the parents, first see what the child is going to do.</p> <p>When they go to high school they will definitely know what they are going to do and then things might change a lot.</p> <p>Golf has just become a very big part of sport at school and that can really make parents pay a lot of money. Hey There @methusalem, Not surer of the system you have within your school, but with our kids with some of the schools they have attended, school teams will only pick kids that have be on teams outside of school and cherry pick the best of the best. Which in turn makes kids not want to join Extracurricular activity's where they miss out learning if they like it or not, or only join activity's were they will teach how to do that activity due to low number of kids not making a full team to represent the school.
