I totally agree with you. Upvotes are great motivating tools but so are comments. I believe most minnowa find it difficult to upvote many articles as their voting powers diminish easily. Some actually dont upvote at all.  That attitude is what must stop

Yes it's sad that some good post doesn't get the upvote it deserves, whereas some "nsfw" post gets good number of upvotes..

Yes I have noticed my numbers going down (payout still rising) and people commenting without first upvoting the post.  

The changes I made was that I always used to 100% upvote those that upvoted my post and commented.  Now I am down to only 10% and still only to those that upvote prior to comment.  I do occasionally still upvote 100% but you need to be careful you do not deplete your own account.

Thanks for posting this @meysam it's good to know what issues affect those higher up the foodchain.

Great Post!  I think that you should be selective with your upvote, but don't be stingy.  If you see something you like, you should acknowledge it.  It will reinforce the behavior that you desire as well as motivate others to follow.

im totally agree with you..we cant change mannars of peoples...as human being we should help all others....make good friends from here is the my 1st hope...that will never cost..i will aslo give upvotes and surely follow back them..

I agree with what you are saying here and so far the steemit community has proven to be amazing. But when the incentives for a specific type of behavior are there, the majority of the users will not be idealists and their behaviours be driven by the particular incentives.

Still, it makes a lot of sense to communicate that sentiment to mitigate the negative effects of the voting power change of HF19.

I agree, it can be frustrating.  Lately there is a lot of self upvoting and not upvoting the authors article.
