**After South Park The Fractured But Whole comes Ubisoft with South Park Phone Destroyer. The game is for iOS and Android and again runs around The New Kid, you so. Is this new adventure worth a voluntary smartphone addiction or can you return to the console games? The answer is found in this South Park Phone Destroyer review.**

South Park has always been the dragon of current topics in society. This time, the social commentary is mainly about excessive smartphone and social media usage. As a new kid, you're better still with your phone than the others, and that's "getting stuck because you're so up to it". You can just as well honor your reputation by humiliating the rest in this collectible card game!

## Fresh look at collectible card games
Huh, a card game? Surely, South Park Phone Destroyer is again a new variation on games like Hearthstone and Magic Duel. This time you play for the win in the small mountain town of the TV series and get a story about the mutual struggle that the children have been doing so often. Instead of a fantasy or superhero theme, it is now between Christians and Jews.

Oh no, aliens against robots... Nor, cowboys vs Indians then! And some pirates and Eskimos, because they all lived around the same time according to the wise Stan. It soon goes out, because robot and alien themes are also part of the game. Cartman is your greatest culprit in this battle, and together you go behind the chief Stan, who is deploying his army to followers to stop you.

For obviously Cartman and Stan are in front of each other, they will never agree and therefore you are there to settle the fight to your advantage. Throughout the battle, you struggle through the streets of South Park and collect new cards, clothes for your character and other items. In addition, the videos and dry messages send the group to each other for a lot of fun, in addition to the authenticity of the game. Everything looks sharp and exactly as it should be.

## Fight through the streets of South Park
The atmosphere is good, but what about the gameplay? Collectible card games stand or fall with depth and a good balance. In South Park Phone Destroyer, it's a matter of running your own character from one side to another without sacrificing. By throwing up cards, you offer friends like Cartman, Tweek and many others your enemies.

The short missions each end with a boss fight against the best-known characters from the TV series. This way you walk through the streets of South Park into five missions per street. This one for a CCG unique way of playing is surprisingly fun. The chaotic fights are very entertaining with all the crazy characters and their chicks.

A little tactic is still necessary, as you slowly conserve energy needed to capture cards. Consume your energy on the wrong cards, then they will die quickly and can be countered . It is therefore wise to split your playing style over strong and less strong cards.

## Do not forget to invest in your deck
However, the tactical side of South Park Phone Destroyer in PvP mode is better off the paint. The singleplayer story is not very challenging and you do not have to expect the depth of Hearthstone. The cards are divided into fighter, assassin, ranged, tank and spells (you can guess which Cartman is). These can also be upgraded with, for example, health or damage, and ultimately you have more than the order in which you turn them into matches.

Ultimately, this also determines just too much the outcome of the PvP matches. Regularly we came across someone who was one or two levels higher and had better cards, which made us little chance. It is therefore important to expand your decks and invest heavily.

The cards you draw during the matches come straight from your deck, but in random order as with other CCGs. In the beginning your deck is pretty skinny, but you're playing pretty fast new cards by opening vaults and claiming a free pack every four hours. Later in the game this will go less quickly and the pace will slow down.

## Repetitivity breaks into it
You can then choose to real money packs to buy, but you do not then there is no choice but to grind for money and items. This is quite slow and you have to replay old missions or enter the PvP mode. It's not the case that microtransactions are pushed out of your face, but without a long time it will take a while to get a good deck.

The point is that for some story missions you have to win some PvP matches first. If you shoot through the story with a bad deck, this is the moment you go after the facts. The PvP mode has a rank system that makes you moderate with opponents of equal level, but the difference can still be big. In addition, this mode is not very interesting, because it involves fighting in a fixed place with a lack of humorous texts from the story.

Ultimately, the multiplayer is not so profound to keep going back for a long time and at the expense of total playing time. It's especially the story mode that you continue to play, but after a while, the game does not know how to escape repetitive gameplay. By the end, the single player will be tricky and you will be mainly busy repetitioning missions.

## Conclusion
>Nevertheless, South Park Phone Destroyer is a strong title if you like collective card games and are familiar with the characters from the TV series. The underwear humor is one on one of them and therefore has the same charm as South Park The Fractured But Whole. Now, Phone Destroyer, of course, remains a mobile phone call, and therefore a lot smaller.
The matches are therefore entertaining and the story is fun dressed, but ultimately feels repetitive. Fortunately, you do not have to spend money, but you will be busy replaying previously-missed missions to print those extra items and upgrades for your deck. South Park Phone Destroyer knows at least the boring train rides and breaks, in order to pass even lame dad 'Randy or astronaut Butters!'

➕ fresh look at collective card games
➕ Story mode next to PvP
➕ typical South Park humor
➕ play free (out)!

➖ will be repetitive in the end
➖ not deeper in depth

don't forget to mention that investing the ingame dollars in new pvp packs has the best return on investment. you spend max 45 ingame dollars for a new pack, as opposed to hundreds for their store packs.
