Let's come to the actual criticism, because Stranger Things is not perfect although the 3rd season was fun to watch. 

And the thing that really annoyed me a bit was that with Eleven and Mike and the disturbing by Hopper, because that's what is felt in watching every *coming of age* movie. That the father or the father figure can't cope with the fact that the daughter or the son grows up and also collects certain experiences, I found that a bit too much. Of course the kids grow up and Hopper has taken Eleven to his heart but it would have been cool to experience a little less of it and a little more of the upside-down world. But maybe that's the way it should be, and in general, in the last episode, as the culmination of the letter Eleven was allowed to read, emotions would be triggered. 

What also disturbed me a bit was the storyline with the evil russians. Is it already clear that this is an 80s series and that the cold war is also part of it, but this storyline has disturbed me a bit from the beginning. That one reflects today's politics with it I found very weak. Also from the logic point of view that Russian communists build an underground base as an army in the middle of America and carry out secret scientific tests, is beyond any logic. They should have solved that differently. Or it's just a bit self-deprecating joke that i couldn't understand. I don't know.

Or the action scenes, in which the characters are in danger, I found the rescue in the last seconds, where you should think that they will die and in the last second they were rescued, too much. They use this feature to often. That didn't seem authentic after the third time and was beyond any logic. 

But the end was again very courageous, that now some of the characters are going various paths. Of course, this can also have an negative explosion in the next season or it could become something that tops everything. I am curious in any case how they want to do this. 

And what is very important, the new monster, the **Mind Flayer**. Actually it's the old monster just upgraded. It was already cool. It was also made creepy and the idea that it grows through human zombie sacrifice was also very original. But in the end it was too little again. Of course the motto is *the less, the more* but let's be honest, the monster would definitely have had more playing time and more to do than chasing Eleven all the time, because as it was suggested in the third season, the monster actually had more on it than it was shown to us. Again, I found that very weak.

Then what I always think about Stranger Things is that it shouldn't run too long. So I hope that after the fourth season, at the latest after the fifth season, that the seies will find its end. Because it won't work forever, not only because the series produces a season every 1.5 years and when the characters are older then so right now the kids I mean, maybe it will be too repetitive and then it won't be new any more. 

If they want to drag it on and produce more seasons, then the magic will lose its shine and ruin everything. How it is said? You should stop when it's most beautiful. Of course it's a moneymaking success and Stranger Things is the best stallion in Netflix's stables, but I hope it will not be lengthened unnecessarily and will find a worthy end.
