하나둘씩 문을 닫는 거래소들
코인을 접하고 가장 처음 접한 해외거래소는 뭐니뭐니해도 Poloniex 거래소이었다

국내에선 당시 코인원, 코빗,  빗썸거래소 정도가 있었지만 당시 코인원과 빗썸에는 코인의 종류가 극히 제한적이었고 그나마 코빗정도가 해외 거래소로부터 중간 수수료를 취하며 조금 더 다양한 코인의 거래 중계인 역할을 했을 정도였기에 ICO에 참여한 코인을 거래하거나 유망코인들을 선점한다는 개념에서 주로 해외거래소를 이용할수 밖에 없는 구조였다

이처럼 한시대를 풍미했던 폴로닉스는 가입 지연, 계좌 동결 문제 등을 실시간 해결해 주지 못하는 등 관리 및 고객과의 소통 부족으로 점점 신뢰를 잃게 된다

Poloniex 의 위기는 Bittrex의 역대급 기회가 된다

당시 만년 2인자였던 비트렉스는 폴로닉스로부터 등을 돌리는 고객들을 향해 공격적인 행보 및 신속한 처리등으로 신뢰를 얻으면서 폴로닉스를 제치고 최고의 거래소로 거듭나게 된다

하지만 그것도 잠시뿐 후속업체인 바이낸스에게 그 자리를 너무 쉽게 넘겨주고 만다

이처럼 한때 잘 나갔던 거래소들이 자칫 방심하면 역사의 뒤안길로 사라지는것은 이제 너무나도 흔한일이다

당시 많은이들이 거래했던 CoinExchgane 거래소 역시 마찬가지이다

지난 1월에 코인익스체인지에서 거래소 폐업에 대한 공지로 금년 12월 1일까지 자금을 인출하지 않는다면 모든 자금은 허공으로 날아갈것이라는 공지를 냈지만 이 공지를 놓친 사용자는 어느순간 자산을 날릴수도 있으리라는 우려를 금할길 없다

이처럼 암호화화폐를 거래소에 보관해놓고 아무 생각없이 방치하다보면 어느순간 내 소중한 자산을 찾을수 없는 상황이 발생할 수 있기에 장기투자를 한다고 해외 거래소 등에 예치한 암호화화폐는 개인지갑으로 옮겨 봉인하거나 그렇지 않다면 사이트가 정상적으로 돌아가고 있는지의 정보는 수시로 확인해야 할 것이다

최근 폴로닉스의 스팀 상장해지 소식을 듣고 마음이 심란했다

왜냐하면 내가 스팀을 거래소에서 거래한 첫 거래소가 폴로닉스 였기때문이다

호황기에 이어 침체기를 한차례 심하게 겪은 암호화 화폐시장에서 항상 시대의 흐름에 맞춰 대응을 잘 하는 거래소는 살아남을 것이고 고객은 등안시하고 자신들의 한탕주의만을 노리는 거래소는 앞으로도 계속 사장될 것이다

고팍스는 최근 접속을 안해봤는데 워낙 유동성이 너무 안좋아서요
전 고팍스에 보관했던 SNT등 코인은 전량 업비트로 다 옮겼습니다
아무래도 거래량이 활발한 거래소로 옮기시는게 좋을것 같습니다
