SteemPower Investments - Looking into Strategic Investment Tokens Games

Hello everyone, today I will be mostly talking about other ventures are steem-engine tokens that I would define as DeFi's (Decentralized Finance). After a long search, I could not find any but I did find a few projects that operate as STIG's (Strategic Token Investment Game) which are the next closest thing. SteemPower Investments could be called a strategic game. There are not that many Defi projects on the STEEM blockchain yet and I expect these to become very popular as they are fun to part in and sometimes offer a great return.

### STIG (Strategic Token Investment Game)
STIG's are all I can find and are the closest comparable thing to SteemPower Investments but we are out there on another league until something more comparable comes out. At the minute there looks to be 3 main STIG steem-engine projects and they all look to be run by the same person as are a small group. I do not know the ins and outs of these projects but I will give a few lines on each project to outline the goals and how it works. They all run off the same concept with different variations. 

Basic Idea behind the 3 projects
The issuer sells tokens at scale starting out at a very low price and building to a higher price. So he might start by selling 1000 tokens at 1 cent, 990 tokens at 2 cents, 970 tokens at 3 cents and so on until either, all tokens are issued, a predetermined end date has arrived are there has been no steem-engine token actively for a certain amount of days. Some would call this a scam and a pyramid scheme as early investors will win and later investors will lose. This is true but I would not call it a Ponzi scheme as the rules are there in black and white and the operator seems to promote using the steem-engine exchange to cash out and take your profit. There are lots of other things that they do like buybacks and token burns but I don't know enough about everything to explain and I don't wanna be promoting these either.

This looks to be the first of the trio. I saw this project around a week back and looked into it a little bit as the idea is interesting. The game is set to last 200 days and started by selling 990 tokens at 0.01 STEEM each and is currently working on a sliding scale down to 10 tokens at 0.99 STEEM. This should release 50,000 tokens. 
STEEM received from token sales are converted to either SP are other tokens that generate income. At the end of the game, everything is sold and powered down and split between token holders. 

### #2 - @addox

This one looks to be the second released. I came a few weeks after onecent and it pretty much the same as onecent but much faster and set to 28 days per gaming round. Set up on the same sliding scale token distribution and not much more to say. Same things are done with STEEM from token sales and at the end of the game. 

### #3 - Tulip Game

The last of the Trio released not long after addox and prob the most interesting as well. This game has 3 elements, the dutch auction, the trading game, and the end game. Each gaming round lasts 28 days, the same earning but more interactive than the first 2 I feel. This one is more complex and worth looking into trading games but for STEEM.

GAMES!!, were not here to play games, we are here to slowly build up an epically huge pile of STEEM POWER like no other Defi on the platform. Our game is to be number one and the biggest Defi on steemleo and steemit. These 3 projects are STIG's and the first of there kind but can't be compared to SteemPower Investments. This sliding scale token release was something I looked into when i first started thinking about SteemPower Investments but its not a good distribution plan for an investment club. It is ideal for this sort of game were to game is token distribution versus when to sell to make a profit. 

These sorts of investing games are ok but they are not for Mr. SP Invest and the club to invest in, maybe from my personal account for fun. My strategy for these games would be to buy thousands of tokens very early on and aim to sell them out on the exchange when there are either 30-40% of tokens issued are at the game halfway mark after 2 weeks. This would be before tokens sales slow down and other token holders start undercutting each other to get rid of them. 


There will be competition coming for SteemPower Investments as others see it working and try to copy and teak the concept. They will, of course, be inferior and watered-down versions but these STIG's are not it. They are interesting and worth looking into if you have the time to play them, not much work involved really.
