On Saturday 30th September, we officially opened the first [Steem Accelerator Hub](https://steemit.com/stach/@stach/stach-official-opening-port-harcourt-nigeria-or-official-opening-of-the-first-steemit-hotspot-1), STACH in a grand ceremony. 
The Hub was created to enable offline participation and collaboration which will see more **Steemit Hotspots** spring up in our cities. 
Today, we furnish you with numbers and advancement plans.

Numbers

STACH is an offline and online Accelerator Hub with membership online and offline and we are creating a community that will enable participatory collaboration and profitable growth in society. We have a Slack Channel as well as a Whatsapp Chat group that allows us work in sync to achieve the target of decentralizing the offline.
**What STACH does for the community**
- Inform our members of Steemit updates through education
- Teach our members about the Steemit and blockchain technology
- Creating a collaborative community that enables our members engage with the Steemit ecosystem
- Reward our members for quality contents and work
- Inculcate the habits of creating original contents while maintaining quality
- Encourage diverse talents in various fields not limited to writing and blogging 
- Recruit and train new users on the operations of Steemit from their introduction post till they can hold their own

The amazing thing about this community is how fast we recruit and train these users who on daily basis post quality contents as is evidenced on the #stach. We are just getting started as more are being onboarded.

With the completion and launch of the Hub, we are looking to onboard at least **20** genuinely serious Steemians whose works can be seen on the platform. 
In accordance with STACH's tradition and framework to ensure active participation, we are moving our members into close knit groups where the business of Steeming will be done seriously while pushing the mindset of decentralization into the offline. 

As we are set to onboard more users through the STACH platform, we are seeking SP to enable the transistion smooth for as many that are coming on board as we would not want a situation where we are only known to recruit members that never show up. 
The offline is unaware of the strength it has and we are set to introduce Steemit to them.

Membership into STACH is open to all and we expect to open more Hubs around the Nigeria nation with a target to have the best community of creative minds.
