Science Fiction often becomes Science Fact at a later date. 

On one hand, science is the process by which we discover a hypothesis is reproducible. On the other, it is also a process by which we, psychologically, come to accept theories which were previously denied or thought impossible. 

Science is not immune to politics, nor is it definitive. Often, expired science is clung to as fervently as any religious order.

Except you are somewhat wrong in both examples you gave,

A lot of the information you provide on that subject is just plain wrong, not all fMRI studies are affected, only about 10%

Your example for antidepressants is summed up as one doctor's opinion. Some doctors will also say that vaccines are bad when that is clearly a false statement.

You may not be entirely anti-science, but you seem to have some confirmation bias.

Your posting history is littered with your use of substances such as LSD and MDMA and how they treat depression. I think your belief in this subject is based more on your desire for this to be true rather than an actual well-researched study.
