mit dem heutigen Tage steige ich relativ spät aktiv in das Steemit Geschehen des Jahres 2019 ein. Ich hatte mich über den Jahreswechsel ins Studio zurückgezogen und an neuen Tracks gearbeitet. Nun folgen die für meinen ganz persönlichen Geschmack beiden Monate, die ich am wenigsten mag. Januar und Februar sind in Franken leider oft kalt, grau und verregnet. Zudem sind viele erkältet, und auch die Weihnachtsbeleuchtungen fehlen.

Now, for my personal taste, the two months I like the least follow. January and February are often cold, grey and rainy in Franconia. Aber die Regeneration der Natur gehört in diesen Gefilden eben dazu - wohl gerade auch nach so einem tollen Sommer wie dem von 2018, der gerne bald ein Comback geben darf. Wie aufmerksame Leser meines Blogs wissen, habe ich schon ein paar Beiträge über die schöne bayrische Nachbarstadt Wertheims Miltenberg gepostet. Heute möchte ich Euch ein paar Bilder zeigen, die ich unterhalb der Mildenburg gemacht habe.

_But the regeneration of nature is part of these realms - especially after such a great summer as the one of 2018, which is likely to give a comeback soon. As attentive readers of my blog know, I have already posted a few articles about the beautiful Bavarian neighbouring town of Wertheim's Miltenberg. Today I'd like to show you some pictures I took below the Mildenburg (castle of Miltenberg)._

Die Mildenburg selbst ist zur Zeit leider nicht so fotogen, da sie aufwendig restauriert wird. Der Bergfried ist z.B. in ein Baugerüst eingesperrt. Aber der Aufstieg loht sich trotzdem, da man von hier aus einen herrlichen Blick über die Dächer Miltenbergs genießen kann. Auf den ersten Fotos ist der Blick gen Osten (Würzburg, Wertheim) gerichtet. Auffallend sind die Türme der Kirche St. Jakobus vor dem herrlichen Panorama von Spessart und Schenkenwald, die durch den Main getrennt werden.

_Unfortunately, the Mildenburg itself is not so photogenic at the moment, as it is being lavishly restored. The keep is locked into a scaffold. But the ascent is worthwhile anyway, because from here you can enjoy a wonderful view over the roofs of Miltenberg. The first photos show the view to the east (Würzburg, Wertheim). The towers of the church St. Jakobus are striking in front of the wonderful panorama of Spessart and Schenkenwald, which are separated by the Main river._

Das nächste Bild habe ich mit Blickrichtung gen Westen (Aschaffenburg, Frankfurt) aufgenommen. An diesen wunderbaren Spätsommertag hatten wir noch locker 30 Grad Celsius in der Sonne. Gerne erinnere ich mich an diesen Tag zurück.

Unter diesem "Häuserhaufen" befindet sich der alte Marktplatz, das sogenannte Schnatterloch.

Und hier seht ihr das Schatterlochtor von der Miltenberger Burg aus. Der alte Marktplatz ist allerdings ein Schmuckstück im Schmuckstück (Miltenberg), das ich versuchen werde, mit einem eigenen Beitrag zu würdigen. 😉
