I use Steemit it as the free blogging platform that it is and I have never thought about the price.  I tend to ignore the comments that make it seem like this is a Facebook or Reddit or whatever website replacement, when this is a little something better, but different.  Surprised all the free websites people use and then use Steemit and enjoy it but then post complaining about prices.

Nice post @stellabelle. A community that shares for the sake of sharing is a community that I too would like to be a part of. 

There's a lot of us who're trying hard to make this work, each of us with our own little individual & shared projects. It wont be long before we've weathered this storm and can move on from it. This is a good learning curve.

It makes me happy to see you conquering those negative demons.

Great post @stellabelle. I'm going to have a read of @mindhunter's posts now and follow him. I agree, it's the conections that make this community great. Thanks to the examples of empathy and generosity from both of you.

Excellent quote from mindhunter and nicely made into a video.  For me, it's not only about the money, but I will say I was happy when my account was worth 20 grand.  But I knew the price could be quite different when I was ready to power down and get at the money.  So I never changed any of my financial plans due to steemit.  When the price comes back, it will be nice.  If it doesn't, I'll stay here while others are still here, and continue to enjoy the social interaction and intellectual stimulation.

I think Ned is traveling; I have seen him on a few  live streams over the last week or so, talking up the potential of steem.  Dan I imagine is finishing tests on Graphene 2.0.   They have job openings for communication director and other things that should help with community relations.  I hope they fill those openings soon; we can use better communications although they have never been that good and I have learned to seek out answers on my own.  That's not the way to go, though, if we seek a wider acceptance of the platform. 

I feel that the price of steem is reaching a low.  It is getting to the point where it is swinging up and down and people can make short term profits.  Volume is up, so there are buyers; but maybe most are short term traders.  Steem is supposed to be for short term trading anyway; so says the white paper.  This price gives an opportunity for new players to jump in and control a lot of steem power.  I think we will see that next.

Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of what Steemit was created to do? I mean actually pay creators for their content, whatever it might be?

I mean there are at least 5 or more better alternatives light years ahead of this craptastic bland platform to "connect" with.

Btw, I am not referring to the people of the Steemit, I have met, talked to, and got to know some wonderful people here through their content they share.

I am absolutely here to connect, my life revolves around my kids and my family. As a widowed mum, I can go weeks without having an adult conversation that moves past small talk..and I'm fucking shit at small talk, so that never last very long.
Sure the money brought me here, but it was the people, the posts and the challenge that kept me here. But the rise of the bots, the slow decline in human interaction and the negativity has made it difficult to rise to that challenge at times.
I hope this means we are going to see more of the wacky, positive and downright crazy from you. It has been missed.
PS I'm sorry for what I did to you in my last post..it was a moment of madness .
