I have the same here, Melinda, with the blooms fading. Summer is flying by too fast.

Yes we are starting to see signs of the change of season here as well, and I am OK with it taking its time

I've read that jewel weed somehow counteracts the effects of poison ivy on the skin.

Muy lindas fotos @melinda010100,los insectos estan hermosos pero son dañinos a las plantas y flores,me impacto mucho las patas de uno de ellos por lo largas y la vuelta que tienen,pero me cativo ese hermoso arbol con lindo ramaje para adornar el final de tan delicado trabajo,de verdad muy lindo todo,fotos y escrito,saludos amiga y que graticante cuando lo que hacemos le gusta a los demas,feliz tarde

Your macro photos are just exquisite, @melinda010100! I've noticed the abundance of acorns as well, and yesterday when heading to an appointment with my eldest, I noticed little bits of yellow tinting some of the green leaves along the highway. I have to say, I much prefer the sight of the yellow jewelweed you captured, which I can't stop staring at!

I hope the tree cutter guys get the ash tree down without too much fuss and muss. Happy Wednesday to you as well!

Always safest to remove old trees to make way for new or healthier trees to spread their branches out further.

My god summer has almost slippy away again and fall coming all so soon i really love them close up photos especially the bugs beautifully captured :)

Autumn breathes in the back of the head ... and prepares its bright colors :-)

Great collection of bugs Melinda!!! The Japanese Beetle is eating everything. My neighbours including my landlord had to get bags with something that attacks them in and kills them. 

WInter is definitely on the way. I'm surprised that your squirrel friends haven't gathered all the acorns up already. It must not get as cold there as it does in Minnesota. The one good thing about that brutal winter we had is that it seems to have wiped out the Emerald Ash Borers in much of the state.
