#SteemitMamas Write Along Day 3 Challenge 2 - Play A Song on The Mama Bot Radio

Today marks slightly over a month since my last post and I thought that taking part in the @steemitmamas write-along would be a great comeback and it's all about music too! I am squeezing this post in really just before post payout which is in a few hours! Hahaha!

I was working on our discord server really late last night (think 1-2 am in the morning) to improve on some things and I got into a kind of a brain freeze so I asked a dear friend for help. Since he was a HE and not really allowed in our discord, I just didn't have enough energy to figure out what he was saying. So I snuck him in so that he could show me some stuff and I could quickly get the improvements done asap and then go to sleep! Among the things that I was trying to figure out was some of the inner workings of our music bot. Now, who doesn't like to work with music in the background and so we played music as we worked! Then a song played, I started swaying and the song brought about a lot of feel-good vibes for me.  Then later just because I hadn't listened to Jason Mraz for ages I stumbled into another awesome song that resonated with me. So here I am sharing them because it reminded me of a couple of things that are really important.

## To enjoy our moments in life or "Kairos" times in life
The ancient Greeks had two words for time. One is Chronos (Did you watch The Incredibles? Yeah the bad guy's project is called "KRONOS") which refers to actual time...you know hours, minutes and seconds that we watch on the clock and wish it would go faster when we are at work? Hahaha! Yeah, the quantitative time. Then there is Kairos which refers to the special moments in life or proper and opportune moments for action. So **qualitative time** which I personally always miss and forget about. That quiet moment with my son just before he goes to sleep, that chat with a good friend, that dinner with hubby just the two of us, the short walk breathing in the fresh air of the morning enjoying the sights and sounds of nature, the crashing of waves at the beach when you sit down to enjoy the clean white sand...moments to stay in and cherish. Instead I rush through it not realising the value of them in my life. Not anymore! Like the song says in the opening lyrics...

## People are easy to love if you can think the best of them
The other thing that the second song reminded me of was the fact that people are easy to love if we can enjoy the Kairos moments of our lives which are filled with joy and wonderful things AND think the best of everyone that we meet or know. More often than not, we make judgements of a person within the first 3 seconds of meeting them. Then even with friends and family, we assume their intentions and meanings behind words and actions when there is actually none. So always always think the best of someone, you never know they might actually surprise you!
