The moving van finally parked in front of my new home. Mother slammed the door and ran straight to bear hug me. Her perfume was strong as usual. "Mom, air!" I shouted. She laughed and painted my cheek with her lipstick. "You know it may be awhile until I see you again darling. I just want to remember you one last time as a my little boy," Mother replied. "Ugh. Don't bring up those nightmare years. Going to hug Cindy too?" I asked. This time it was her who pulled away and dashed off in her car.

Cindy pulled me close and kissed me hard on the lips. "Harold, your mother didn't want to say goodbye?" Cindy asked. "You know how she is," I replied. We unpacked the belongings and made the place ours. Cindy left soon after to her new job in the city.

I have finally gotten to the last box. The dumb thing didn't want to open. I pulled and pulled, but I just rolled back smacking the wooden floors. The box finally just popped open by itself. I brushed myself off and grabbed what was inside.

What!? I looked inside to find nothing. At the very corner there was a tiny white box with a blue ribbon. I picked up the box and an even more tiny card sat beneath it. "What is given is taken. What is taken is given." the card read.

I pulled on the blue ribbon and the box began to shake. A blue fairy sprung from inside the box. "What the fairy sauce!?" I shouted. The little thing buzzed around my head. "Um, how rude! I'm your elder you know," the fairy replied. The little thing slammed into my head.

Cindy kept on shaking me. "What are you doing sleep here? Are you okay? Cindy asked. I opened my eyes to see police officers standing behind her. "What's going on?" I asked.

Cindy's eyes started to redden. " I think we've been robbed! You... You were just laying there, and the house..." Cindy replied. I turned around to see all of our belongings flung violently around the house. The police officers turned towards us. "Everything you reported seems to be accounted for mam. Please call us if either of you remember more," the officer said. Cindy nodded and helped me to my feet.

I could hear Cindy's stomach growl, and then she blushed. "Let's go upstairs. You have been out for while. I'll make dinner," she said. "Upstairs?" I asked. "Somehow our kitchen is upstairs and our bedroom set is scattered around the house," she replied.

Cindy made a great meal as always. "How did I ever get so lucky?"I asked. "I don't know. I had several choices and could leave you whenever I wanted,"she smirked. I laughed and she had a huge grin on her face.

She was just about to finish salad when the leaves turned pitch black. I ran to knock the fork from her mouth. "What's wrong Harold?" she asked. The leaves turned freshly green again. "I, thought I saw a bug," I said. She immediately grew stiff and turned to blow out the candle. The flame somehow leaped up and caught her hair on fire.

I grabbed a damp towel and tried to put out Cindy's hair. The blue fairy appeared from under the table with scissors. I shook my head no while putting out the flame. The blue fairy shook their head yes and flew up to her. They cut off most off her hair in seconds and laughed.

Cindy turned around and grabbed her head. "What did you do Harold!? Where did you get those scissors!?" she asked. I looked down to find scissors instead of a towel. I started to stammer, but no words would come out. Her eyes swelled and she ran out of the house to her car.

I can't believe I did that to Cindy. She wasn't lying about the ability to be with anyone. I better fix this somehow or i'll never see her again. The night was late and I was getting tired.

My bed felt somehow lumpy as if rocks were in the springs. I reached under the bed to find rocks. I'm going to kill that fairy. I tried to get up, but my eyelids were too heavy. I closed them and started to drift off into the realm between.

A familiar voice started to wake me up. At first I thought it was Cindy, but it was just a trick. One of the most beautiful women I have ever seen stood in front of me with giant silver wings. "You want to be with me don't you? All your kind do. Just one kiss and the fairy realm is yours," she smiled.

I moved closed to her lips. Just one kiss and I could have a life of bliss. "Yes... No! I, I can't! My heart belongs to Cindy," He replied. "That's a really disrespectful response from a human. I'm very disappointed after already accepting our gift," she frowned.

The fairy queen sighed and then smiled. "oh well. I'm really just here to return the little fairy back to our realm. I assume you see them as blue. If you resist. I will kill all of you," she said.

I gave her the empty box. "Oh, that's interesting! So you read the card and still and opened it. The fairy will never be done taking," She laughed. "Please, just let my girlfriend and I live our lives," I asked. "No thanks. Although, I will put the little one in the box for you. Last chance," she smiled

I woke up as if in a deep dream. The white box laid sealed by my feet. I can't believe fairy trickery is real. I took what was in the box and gave the fairy my life. I know what I need to do now.

I called Cindy and luckily she picked. "How could you? I thought you were different from the rest of the guys!" She shouted. "I'm sorry Cindy! I'm sorry. Come over and I'll do everything I can to make yesterday up to you," I replied.

A few hours later she rung the door. "I'm so glad your here," I said. She smiled faintly and then rushed inside. "I got you something that will make you understand everything," I smiled. I put the little white box in her hands.
