Steem Sri Lanka - Contest Series | Round 02 | Week 04 – Memories of 2020

On the first of January 2020 there as a dozen dreams in my mind. That's true, we all faced an out of syllabus question, this pandemic. Even though some planned things were missed, unplanned things came to my life. 

<h4> 1. Finishing my Internship</h4>

I worked for 6 months as an intern of a company and in February I  finished my internship time. Our Norwegian product owner who visited Sri Lanka had organized a farewell party for me with our development team. It was a big surprise for me because I never expected such a farewell during the stay of our client in Sri Lanka. 

I worked just 3 months in team UpNorway but all of them become so close to me by such a little time. It was the best time I spent after my school age.

<h4> 2. Comming For Quarantine Vacation</h4>
After the internship, we had a two weeks break and that's when we got our first COVID patient in Sri Lanka. There onwards we had a vacation till September with online lectures and again in October, we had a vacation due to the second wave. At that time we had exams. Unfortunately, we got a vacation in the middle of the exam.

<h4> 3. Joining Steemit Again</h4>

During the vacation, I tried so many things. Gardening, crafts, foods, and reading books. Once everything is finished, I just open steemit and tried things. When they didn't work, I learned from the video tutorials of @joeparys  and found the real beat of steemit. Actually, steemit made my vacation meaningful. It improved my creative mind, and had some rewards for work, and change the game. I won both #thediarygame season 1 and season 2 and the unforgettable thing is winning the team prize for #thediarygame season 2.

<h4> 4. Having a New Cat</h4>

For the first time, we adopted a cat in October. A cute and annoying one who started to love me than others.

<h4> 5. Got a New Phone as a Gift</h4>

I had a nice birthday present that I never expected. My old phone was totally out of trend so my boyfriend gave me a new phone, Samsung Galaxy M21 which gives perfect photographs really suitable for my steemit works.

<h4> 6. Shocked by a Thunder Bolt During an Interview</h4>

This is another unforgettable thing. It happened at the end of November. I was in the middle of an interview and suddenly my room is affected by a thunder blot. I had a slight shock and also felt a huge pain in my ear and I went out of the room without thinking about the interview. It was an embarrosing moment for me and even the interviewers. I had to reschedule the meeting and make an apology to the interviewers. My headset is also damaged and I was lucky that my ear recovered after two days.

If I consider the overall year, this year I got many life lessons, more than academic lessons. Anyhow, I learned how to work with a team, how to make long term plans, how to communicate with others, how to find solutions for problems. I think, this year gave me many out of book knowledge which is very important to my future.

Any way I think we should be so careful when dealing with phones and laptops while thundering,even I don't pay much care when it is happening.
