Yeah, I know for a fact she helps a lot of red fishes like herself and it's not just red fishes from a certain country, she helps anyone. A little boost and extra SP can help her in her cause. Wow! I am so speechless upon seeing this. First of all, thank you, I am so grateful of everyone's thoughts on me and wow I am excited about this opportunity. I have seen delegation stuff like this but never did I think I will be nominated and I will always be shy to nominate myself in one. But since this is happening, let me gather my thoughts for a bit and make an introduction. Thank you all so much.

Our community,  Steemit Achievers will be full support behind @mermaidvampire. She simply rocks it, selflessly. She believes in the platform and its beauty and she is out to share and help despite the limited resources she has. She helps even if she needs help herself. Hello, @whatsup, @drakos and @irreverent-dan. My name is Karen but I am known here as @mermaidvampire. I am a red fish, I'm not even technically a minnow yet as per @arcange's Steemitboard. I am happy to be a red fish because I know Steemit has a unique beauty of making things happen for you no matter what you are.  

I knew nothing when I came here, jargons confused me. But I did what a rational human being should do, which is to read. In fact, if I were to advice newcomers it would be to do one thing everytime and it is to read. Keep reading. A jargon does not make sense to you, then read. Read, read, read. Next is to try things you read and see if they work. 

5 months after, I am now loving Steemit. I love it too much, I have found a niche which is contests. After 4 months of making contests, I realized it is the best way I can help share to my fellow red fishes. My contests have no losers. Basically, I let the winners win 50% of the liquid SBD and the other 50% is shared by everyone. I believe no matter how small the payout, it can be shared. I choose to believe the promise of gifteconomy that if you made an effort, it will be rewarded. And this is the only way I can grow my SP because I am a poor person, I cannot invest fiat into this platform, honestly.

I currently have around 300SP and 110 of that are delegated to communities I support since I started last January. I had this notion that if I delegate to them, I am helping them, so I kind of just keep doing it without thinking I would be struggling to keep myself afloat with the little I had. Hahahahaha! But anyway, I love it. I won't ever take them back. I have 10SP delegations because that's all I can give them. I have for @minnowbooster, @minnowhelper, @msp-shanehug (the only project of minnowsupport project that accepts 10SP delegations) and other communities. See below:

Other than delegations, It is also quite a struggle for a mini red fish like me to help individuals who I think are making good content. I autocurate 81 other red fishes via steemauto. I poke them little steems to help them anyhow. Minus the delegated SP I have for the communities above, my account only has a total of 270SP to do this curation. If I have more, I can pretty sure I can commit to do more for more people. See my fanbase below:

So simple comment contests are my thing. Guessing the color of a black and white object, too. It breaks barriers to entry. It does not require much from people. Commenting, or that simple little effort to answer in the comments earn someone rewards. I consider that my gift to my fellow red fishes. 

Why am I doing it? BECAUSE IT CAN BE DONE. Anyone can earn, and at some point, we are all here because of the promise to earn and be rewarded. I want to live it. It's very small SBDs, but you know, there is a big difference between cents and nothing. And any help helps.

When I started, I felt like I was nothing here because I knew nothing. But having done this niche made me feel like there is more to that that I can do. I am starting to connect to people in other countries for causes.

I want to make a community that tackles anti-bullying and call it, NO LOSERS. Because I don't believe there are losers, there are just people who are special and navigates the world or sees the world differently.

I want to connect to the people in Africa, which are many here in Steemit. I am connecting to people posting about famine and hunger, because I believe no one deserves to be hungry in a rich world like Earth. I don't see hungry people where I live but I know world hunger and poverty is out there somewhere and agriculture and technology is the answer. I want to support causes on farming and ending world hunger.

I want to connect to people with chronic illnesses because I am one of them. I have kidney failure and on dialysis and needing transplant soon. I am considered disabled. I feel for the people who are considered imbeciles and I want to empower them. I want education, awareness about illnesses to be available to people. Many of us die due to knowledge being in the brain of our doctors only. We can share that knowledge and we can empower sick individuals  to hang on to dear life like they know what they are doing because they really do.

I want to promote eco-friendliness and causes helping the environment. Evidently, this is a task for all. We only have one mama Earth and she is our responsibility. Steemit being a global platform can be an effecient tool to spread awareness about fixing the world's problems on weather and the decay or death of nature.

That and many more. I am partnering with Steemit Achievers and soon we will be launching @artsforacause to bridge the gap between people and communities who pushes causes and artists to work together and make something.

I cannot do this alone, but I have a mind that makes me think I should be part of all this and I have my heart in the right place. Steemit has made me look beyond limitations. If given the more power in Steemit, like literally SP delegation, I will push for collaborations to many others that are passionate about these causes. I won't just curate for the sake of curating and spreading votes. I will curate causes and I will curate individuals that need help the most.

Despite me having too little time to stay because I am sick. I see myself making a little change and influencing others and connecting to people who can help me push for this causes and more.

Life is too short. I want to matter. I am not here to get rich or be famous. I am here to go beyond existing  and I want to leave a legacy. Something that will be imprinted in the blockchain that once there was a @mermaidvampire and she made Steemit change the world for the better.
